Meet Maisie—a beautiful and spirited bunny looking for a calm, understanding forever home.
Maisie is almost 1 year old and has so much potential to thrive in the right environment. She was rescued alongside a male, who we were told was neutered. Almost a year after rescuing them, we found a surprise litter of 8 babies. Before having babies, she was incredibly sweet and affectionate. Since then, she’s shown some behavioural changes—particularly towards her current owner, who is heavily pregnant. We believe Maisie may be sensing the pregnancy, which could be contributing to her behavior. As With others, she has not displayed this behaviour. Maisie has been housed with our 2 other bunnies in the past although has since been separated due to the male not being neutered like originally believed (please note, she can be selective with her companions).
Maisie would do best in a bunny-savvy home with someone who understands rabbit behaviour and can offer her the time, space, and patience she needs. She truly deserves a second chance and could return to her happy, usual, affectionate self with the right care and love.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience with rabbits and their behaviour
• Can provide a calm, stable home
• Is prepared to work with her gently and at her pace
• Possibly has a calm bunny companion she could bond with (with slow, proper introductions)
Maisie is a special girl who just needs the right person to believe in her.
