Description
Roundhills Superhero (Hero) is a handsome, bold 15.1hh, rising 4 (DOB 31st May 21) bay Tobiano gelding with great presence.
His Dam is a US imported American Saddlebred (Super Fancy Doll) and his sire is a Welsh D Cob (LLangattock Merlyn) who competes in SJ and Dressage, standing at Denlyn Stud.
Hero is on a USA-UK American Saddlebred passport registered with the Morgan Society UK.
Hero would suit a fit, energetic person with natural horsemanship skills and a calm disposition who has experience starting youngsters and has the time to do activities with Hero most days.
We’ve handled Hero daily, making regular trips to the beach, walking out on the roads and common, teaching him to load and travel calmly. He’s impressed me as the most confident and brave youngster I’ve started (the others are an Arab, an American Qtr Horse and a Welsh A).
Hero wants to be with people - he calls to me and canters across the field to have a rub. He is keen to be learning and experiencing new things.
He enjoys leaving the other 4 horses to go on adventures with humans to the beach etc
Hero has a long ground covering walk which would be great to ride but isn’t so good for me on foot as I have to jog to keep up.
He has lovely floating relaxed paces in the field.
Has good bone in his legs and great feet that could probably remain barefoot.
When he meets something new (blue tarpaulin to walk over, umbrella above his head, pilates ball, flapping bag on stick) he keeps moving, hardly hesitates, pushes his nose into the item or gets on with walking into or over it.
Respects electric fencing.
Great with dogs, sheep, our tractor and traffic on roads.
Perfect with the dentist and is always good with the farrier.
No vices (wind sucking, weaving etc).
Hero lives out 24/7 with shelters.
I think he’s more suited to being a sports horse, probably jumping or endurance, unlikely to be western riding and I only know western trainers.
Based North West Norfolk (half hr from Kings Lynn or Swaffham)
