Description
Rosie was found on the outskirts of some woods in Romania 3 years ago, and has spent her time since waiting to be noticed. We brought her to foster in Gloucester in December 2024 and she's so excited to be in a home. She is a friendly girl, and likes showing affection to all humans, though she can be wary of the occasional stranger, but this doesn't last long. Rosie is a confident girl but sometimes she has to be reminded that she is not in charge. She learns very quickly and responds very well, being happy to do what she's told, especially if there's tasty treats involved! She really enjoys being petted and sitting on laps for cuddles.
The birthdate on Rosie's passport is March 2020 and she weighs 18kg. She is spayed, and clean in the house.
Rosie gets on well with most dogs and could live with another dog or dogs, as long as they are not too energetic and in her face. She can be a little possessive around treats, but responds well to a firm 'No'. She can be walked with other dogs and she enjoyed her introduction to the dog walker and the pack.
She is probably a bit too inquisitive about the cat.
Rosie is a mixed breed but she displays some of the behaviours of a Mioritic, very loyal guardian breed, so we are looking for experienced adopters who can help Rosie to blossom, ideally an adult single/couple be perfect for Rosie. Rosie needs a regular walking routine to release some of her energy and would love a garden to do zoomies in. She likes chasing a toy.
Rosie is currently in foster in Gloucester and would love you to come meet her.
