FOSTERER SAYS:
Xavier has discovered sofas and he loves them. Sits nicely for treats and waits his turn. So affectionate. Respects my other dog's boundaries brilliantly and plays so nicely.
He is absolutely stunning and so chilled.
He has a cheeky side already and a tad eager to pee over the other dogs wee when they go. So much so he doesn't always wait for them to finish so a few golden showers have almost been had.
IDEAL HOME
Xavier is a very affectionate dog who will blossom in the right situation. We think that a family with older children (8+ years) or a couple who have time would be perfect for him.
At the shelter, Xavier got super excited and would jump up. He is getting better but will need a family who understands this and who positively show him the best way to behave. He only does it due to excitement, but please bear this in mind if you have small people around/ visiting.
BACKGROUND
Xavier was rescued from a municipal pound that we work with in Spain.
Please note: Xavier is a Spanish Podenco (similar to a Portuguese Podengo) and was most likely a working dog - please research the breed-specific needs of a Podenco before applying.
