Description
JOY IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE
Joy was found as a stray. She's only 22-23" to the shoulder, but chunkier than average.
Joy is really friendly and would make a great family dog, but does need some training. She's probably only about 12 months old and currently very exuberant, bouncy and lively, and jumps up in greeting. Her walking on a lead and harness is also a work-in-progress. However Joy is food-motivated which will make training easier.
Joy will need a home where someone is around for much of the time (at least to start with) and is willing to take the time to get her used to being left.
Joy is quite capable of jumping 5 foot plus high, and needs somewhere to run off her energy, so she will need regular access to a secure garden or field.
Joy appears fine with other dogs; she could potentially live with another dog as long as they were able to cope with her high energy levels.
No cats.
Joy is not suitable to live with very young children - although Joy is very friendly, she will knock small children over with her exuberance.
