Description
Sisters ‘Lady’ & her beautiful ‘Shadow’- living together with their foster fam’ & available for adoption individually or together- these stunning black lab type pups are around 9mths old Lady (Shadows reads almost identically) A special appeal for a new home for Lady and her Sister Shadow. Can be adopted separately & whilst together is not a condition of their adoption it would of course be wonderful. If you’ve got double the love & used to having two dogs they could be a great option. By the same token their welfare will not be compromised if you wish to be a one man & his dog facing life together or adding one more to your resident animals. She’s absolutely beautiful. The full album & showcase can be sent privately on request. Discriminated against because of her colour - do you know what that feels like? Can you imagine? If so perhaps she’s the dog for you. If you’re compassionate about her plight please choose her. Lady was born at a municipality shelter. Being a black dog, she had no-one interested in adopting her. Due to Government policy now they are old enough to be castrated it was her time to be put out on the streets. There was zero chance of her surviving as she has no ability to fend for herself. The only thing that would be likely to happen is watching her sister get torn from her in the dangerous world of abandonment & its perils. The volunteer at the shelter had built a relationship with these dogs and made the decision to save 2 of the 4 siblings (the other two are also available & at risk). Sadly there were another 8 in the same position but only 2 could be fostered at this time. Lady is a very loving girl who is very affectionate, not as confidant as her sister ‘Shadow’ but grows each day. If they were chosen together lady would be able to take encouragement from her sister. She Loves her walks and is good on a lead & in a car (just a little nervous but the fosterer will continue to work on that). She is great with other dogs & submissive. There are no issues with food or toy possession. Lady is understandably cautious with strangers though will gain learn quickly that she can trust your circle. She loves to play with the pack & is currently safe in temporary shelter/ Sanctuary. An introduction was given with a cat and children and they didn’t seem to phased at all. A suitable home knows that a sensible introduction to both is the responsible & compassionate approach. Fortunately she is food orientated (not possessive) so teaching her is easy. Size: 61 Approx cm Age: 9 months old Coat:Short Sex:Girl Adults women / men Dog trained gentle children Been around cats Will blossom in a home Emerging with time as expected Dogs Feeds from your hand Loves her food Travelling Walking on a lead Neutered All Bloods are negative Brucellosis negative Vaccinated Passport / microchip Flea/tick/worming Health inspection This is the words of the foster: -“She has been an absolute pleasure to have at the home and part of the pack with minimum disruption. Her confidence grows each day as everything is new to her having lived at the shelter all her life. She tries so hard to let the pack know that she has no interest being a leader by being submissive. She melts me. If there wasn’t so many dogs in need, she would be a foster fail for sure like her sister”. Shadow- Available for adoption- Currently fostered in E.U. Shadow was born at the shelter like her sister. Being a black dog, she had no-one interested in adopting her. Shadow is a very loving girl who gives the best cuddles, loves walks and good on a lead. Still gets a little nervous but her confidence grows every day. Good in a car, a little nervous but the fosterer will continue to work on that. Good with other dogs. No issues with food or toy possession. Cautious with strangers but gains confidence quickly. She loves playing with the pack & is currently safe in temporary shelter/ Sanctuary. An introduction was given with a cat and children and they didn’t seem to react, a sensible approach to introduction of both advised. Food focused but not possessive-as you can see Shadows bio can be bullet points of the same information as her sibling. They are like twins in looks & nature. It’s like two half energy shells washed up on a beach and when they are put together they make a complete unit. If something is missing from your life then just one of these beauties will complete you. Age: 9 months old Size: 67 cm approx cm Coat:Short Sex:Girl Adults Dog trained gentle children Will blossom in a home Emerging with time as expected Dogs Feeds from your hand Loves her food Neutered All Bloods are negative Brucellosis negative Vaccinated Passport / microchip Flea/tick/worming Health inspection This is the words of the foster: -“ She has been an absolute pleasure to have at the home and part of the pack with minimum disruption. Unlikely to be noticed because of her black colour which breaks my heart. Surely she deserves to be judged by her personality and not her colour" Transport outlay & home check applies.
