-This is Rio, we don’t know much about his background but we’ve had him around 6 months and he has shown almost no progress on being handled and can bite hard if grabbed .
- He is rung but I’m unsure on his age without looking it up somewhere . I estimate around 20 months old .
We don’t have a hatching certificate , he was purchased from this site but unfortunately I’ve lost their details to be able to speak to them.
-We have another ring neck that is tame and a cockatiel but Rio often tries to attack them and can pull their feathers out so he would suit a house with no other birds and someone who knows how to handle them well to try and get him to relax a little more .
-We thought the 2 ring necks together would soften him up a little but he’s always the bully of the flock as he is a bold character.
- I can give feeding instructions once interest is shown
- I can provide a cage for a little extra but he’s currently in a big one so would ideally need a bigger one in future .
- we would be sad to see him leave and he is loved by the whole family but we need to do what’s right for our family and we’d hope he’d be a great addition to yours .
-I have tons of photos and videos of him , he’s really funny but does not talk yet.
-please note , like all ringnecks he screams very loud and it can be startling if you’re not used to it .
- the price is to ensure he gets the best home , not to make money from him as the money we get for him will go into toys and accessories for our other birds.
-Due to his unique personality and nervousness we will be asking you lots of questions regarding how you would care for him and your intentions etc .
It’s important to be thorough so he can have a forever home now .
