Billie is a 3 year old, mountain dog/labrador mix with a huge dopey heart. This boy loves to run and would need a home where his adopters are dedicated to exercising him twice a day. He is a low maintenance dog, once walked he likes to have a sleep in his bed, a little play of his soft toys then more naps and walks. He likes to supervise in different rooms you go to once he has the confidence to follow you.
Billie was raised in a shelter and saw his first house when he was nearly 2 years old, because of this, he is jumpy at new sounds and takes a little while to get used to things. He is absolutely hilarious to watch, he runs like he has never used his gangly legs which go everywhere which pairs fantastically with his big floppy tongue hanging out the side of his mouth and his big floppy ears bouncing up and down. Billie will always be a bit nervous of new things and sudden movement but he is growing in confidence each day.
He plays amazingly with other dogs, loves to chase them, big or small. It is not essential he has another dog to live with, as long as he gets to socialise with others on walks. He has spent time in a kennel whilst in his previous adoptive home which he enjoyed and made a lot of friends, he’s been to a dog sitter and had people visit the home with no issue at all. Billie has been left alone at home for an hour or so with no issue, just extremely happy to see his owner when they returned. He walks beautifully on lead, is house trained and has basic training in place, sit, lay down, bed, wait etc.
He deserves a consistent home with people who love him and make him feel safe. He has already had an unfortunate time of moving through no fault of his own but this hasn’t set him back at all and he is still the loving, dopey, sleepy boy that anyone would be lucky to have.
