It breaks my family’s heart to find a new loving home for my poodle male who was rescued from a family who were being made homeless.
He is microchipped and in good health. Vaccines, flea and worming all up to date.
The vets presume he has been castrated but we have no medical proof of this.
He is supper friendly, happy and socialises well with dogs and humans including visiting children. He can sometimes bark at male dogs but responds well to training and positive reinforcement. Walks beautifully on the lead for me and my dog Walker. Travels well in the car and has passed the pub test!
He settles himself well at night in his bed and is house trained.
The reason for rehoming is he has started to show possessive resource guarding of me towards my 8yo son.
Therefore he would be suited to a home with no young children as he has difficulty understanding kids aren’t part of the puppy pact! He could live alone or with other dogs (he has previously lived with other dogs).
He will make a lovely family dog and is chilled in nature. Everyone is amazed by him when we meet people on walks. He doesn’t ask for much apart from human company and K9 interaction on walks, then he will happily sleep content in his bed and home comforts.
Unfortunately, as a single parent - resource guarding around my son is a deal breaker for me and therefore we are not the right home for him.
