His name is Jaffa and he is a three year old (roughly) corn snake.
I was not meant to keep him and unfortunately can’t anymore either. He was handed to me by a group and i was asked if i could look after him for a bit. I agreed but that “a bit” has now turned to forever. due to where i live, and the space i have available, i can no longer take care of him.
Through out his entire life, he has never been held. the group who had him previously neglected him a lot and therefore he never had the interactions that he needed in order for him to thrive. since having him, i have tried holding him multiple times and he has tried biting me through out all of those. whether he believes my hand to be food or out of fear. it also means i can’t clean his tank properly. i’m aware he can be trained but i can’t keep him knowing i can’t provide what he needs for the rest of his life. He was given to me with a 2 foot long tank and clearly needs a larger one (4 ft long) that i can’t provide due to money and space.
due to his small tank (im aware he doesn’t look his age) he hasn’t been able to grow properly.
He gets fed every week and since having him, he has had two full sheds.
He is extremely nosey and will pop out of his hide to have a look at things but he hates loud noises.
He needs a good home that can provide the space and the tank and just the general means of making sure he has a good life.
