Skye is a 1 year old Collie x Husky. She needs an experienced owner, and would like another dog/s in her home, but could be an only dog. She will need a secure garden to play in (with at least a 5ft fence, as she can jump!) A rural/semi-rural home would be perfect for her.
This stunning lady is looking for a new home because she was too boisterous for the resident dog in her original adopter's home. Thankfully a dog rescue charity were able to find her a foster placement with an experienced fosterer who runs a doggy boarding/daycare business. Skye is currently in her element with all the dogs to play with, but she needs a forever home.
Her foster mum reports that she is a very intelligent girl who would be super at agility or other canine sports. She loves being in doggy daycare, and so could live with a working family if they could ensure she received this style of care while they were at work.
While Skye does have a lot of energy, as you'd expect with her breed mix, she is also a really snuggly girl after her exercise needs have been met. She enjoys time with her humans, in a cuddle on the sofa or while enjoying a tummy rub.
Skye enjoys playing, and this is a great way for her to use her brain and energy. She loves a good old fashioned game of fetch, bringing the ball back to you to throw again. She also walks well on the lead and knows a few commands (treats help!).
She is also almost completely housetrained, and sleeps well through the night without issue. Her exercise needs are being met in her foster home (partly thanks to the other dogs), and so she is a much calmer girl than when she first arrived.
Skye LOVES water! Rain and localised flooding only makes her day happier! Thankfully, she also learning to enjoy a rub down with the towel when she comes inside again.
It must be remembered that Skye is only a young girl, and still has some boundaries to learn - she is a fun loving pup - but she is doing so well and learning fast.
