No undertaking will be given to home Monty until prospective owners have visited us and been approved.
Monty is a healthy, one year old, first cross (F1) Border Collie x Golden Retriever male, whom we bred and retained as a training dog for our Trainee Dog Trainers. Monty’s training is now complete and we are therefore seeking a suitable, permanent, loving home for him.
Monty is kind and gentle, affectionate and strongly people oriented, biddable and willing, he is very comfortable in, and enjoys the company of, adults and children of all ages, he loves to learn tricks and plays respectfully.
Whilst Monty would be quite happy living in the company of one or more gentle, sociable dogs, he would also be happy with either a single adult for companionship or as a member of a busy household. Prospective homes must offer adequate day-time company for Monty to enjoy and plenty of opportunities for him to meet other friendly canines.
Monty is relaxed and very accommodating, his personality leans mainly towards his Golden Retriever lineage, he will be homed principally as a friend and companion in a home where he will be loved, included and his need for affection and companionship will be satisfied, in addition he would be quite willing to take part in active canine hobbies with a kind and empathetic human partner.
Monty’s food manners are excellent, he can fed in very close proximity to other dogs and shows no anxiety, he takes rewards nicely and does not show any possessive traits. He
is content to relax in a crate overnight and for short periods, if required, during the day. He walks nicely on the lead.
Monty has lived in a rural situation but been thoroughly habituated to busy urban environments, during his training he has travelled far and wide from Dorset to Scotland and has settled away from home on trips lasting several days.
Monty was been lovingly bred and reared at MASTAMARINER Border Collies and Golden Retrieves for TEMPERAMENT first, he is from outstanding, parents, with exceptional temperaments. His mother is gentle, kind, biddable, very affectionate and people oriented. His father is an outstanding dog, exceptionally gentle, with a very loving, willing and compliant attitude.
Both Monty’s parents have faultless temperaments with people and dogs, excellent health and exemplary conformation, like all our Border Collies and Golden Retrieves they are fully health tested with clear results.
We are experienced, Licensed Breeders, Qualified Dog Trainers and Canine Behavioural Professionals; our dogs are bred with companionship and family placement as the key priority.
Monty was born and raised in our home in exemplary conditions, he has been subject to all necessary examinations and vaccinations, has required no veterinary interventions, he is micro-chipped and thoroughly wormed.
Monty is not to be bred from, we do not home dogs as “breeding stock”, his new owners must undertake to insure him for life and to contact us for assistance at any time if changed circumstances were ever to force them to part with him. Monty will be homed strictly as a companion and family member only, and is not available for export or to any overseas home, he sale agreement will support these exclusions. All our dogs live in the family home and Monty will not be homed where there is any intention that he will be kennelled or isolated from his new family.
Prospective enquirers should note the conditions of homing included here and on our website at www.mastamariner.com and if appropriate, contact us by email to provide their circumstantial information, after which we may contact them to arrange an initial telephone interview. Following a satisfactory telephone interview prospective owners may be invited to meet us and our extended canine family, including Monty’s Mother, Father, half siblings Grandparents and other close and more distant relatives.
As Professional, Qualified Dog Trainers and Canine Behaviour Specialists we are always available to provide support and advice to owners of dogs or puppies that we have bred, we care passionately for our dogs (of any age) and our after-homing support is ongoing and unlimited.
No undertaking will be given to home Monty until his prospective owners have visited us for an interview and been approved.
