We are so proud and excited to announce our beautiful Braque Du Bourbonnais, Luca, has whelped a stunning litter of puppies following a successful mating with the very handsome Ziggy - another exceptional example of the breed.
Both parents are health tested for hips, and side for elbows, with excellent scores and both have wonderful temperaments.
Braque Du Bourbonnais are a rare breed here in the UK with only approximately 170 in the country. As such, the breed is not yet recognised by the UK Kennel Club however they are by the FCI (Europe) and are very popular on the continent and in the U.S.A.
Both parents and puppies are registered with the Irish Kennel Club which affords the same recognition and pedigree recording as the UK KC.
The Braque Du Bourbonnais is a French pointer from the hunt/point/retrieve gundog group, originating from the Bourbonnais region of France. The breed was very nearly wiped out following the Second World War but thanks to two dedicated breeders over in France, the breed was revived during the 1970’s.
We will be looking for only the very best homes for these very special puppies and who will come with a full contract and a lifetime of support.
