Description

I am sad to be rehoming Reggie as I am struggling to get him to where he needs to be. He is a standard size chocolate and tan dachshund 22 months old. He is a lovely character and a typical dachshund. We have had him since he was 9 weeks from the breeder. He was part of a litter of 6. Cleared of genetic conditions. He was supposed to be KC registered as was both his parents but I didn’t receive any paperwork for this. He was castrated in August 2024 with no problems. His vaccines are up to date as is his flea and worming. He is crated when we leave the house but sleeps over night out of the crate in the kitchen with no issues. Despite having 2 other dogs in the house with him he is reactive to dogs on walks, those passing the house and on telly. this has improved with training and with further training he will get there, he however is not reactive when in doggy day care with other dogs. He would suit a household that can devote plenty of time to him where he won’t be left for long periods. He is not suitable for households with other pets (cats/small animals) I would be cautious about rehoming with other dogs unless you are going to make introductions slowly. He is great with people but I would be cautious around small children our children are teens therefore I can’t account for his temperament. Please do ask questions and tell me about your household I want to pick the right forever home. I understand estimated the hard work it takes to train a dachshund and the difference between large and small breed dogs so he really needs to go to someone that is experienced with his breed. Payment is cash on collection he will come with his belongings.
