*Due to an emergency in the family this has now become urgent, however I still won’t let him go to just anyone*
Looking to rehome our 10 month old puppy. This decision hasn’t come lightly & I am truly devastated.
He is called Milo, born 2nd September 2023.
His dad was a full working collie his mum a cocker spaniel, Labrador cross.
He is the most beautiful boy, but he is too high energy for our family home (I should have researched better & now Milo & us are paying the price).
He is trained in all the basics although could do with more in depth training.
He does pull on the lead, especially when he’s near somewhere he wants to go. I’ve tried but can’t get him to stop, he does have a figure of 8 lead that he can’t pull on, but loves the freedom of his harness & a long line.
He has a semi good recall, as long as there are no distractions he will come back but if there are lots of things going on I wouldn’t trust him to.
He can get a bit nippy still when he’s tired, wants to play, have attention due to his age.
He absolutely loves balls, playing fetch & tug of war. Any toys & puzzles really.
He loves long walks & water is his absolute favourite he will play in it for hours, down the beach or in his paddling pool in the garden, he hasn’t swum properly yet though.
He needs a very active home where he won’t be left for long periods (currently he is left 4 hours twice a week & by the last half an hour he has had enough).
He is loving & loves cuddles of an evening once he’s settled down & sleeps through the night, he will want to sleep in the same room as you & has never been crate trained as he hasn’t needed to be.
He will come with his bed, toys, leads, worm flea treatment etc.
He really will be the best addition to your family.
Ideally I would like him to go to someone that will always be out with him doing fun things & has experience in these breeds & puppies. He has always been the only dog but may be ok with another as he loves to play, he’s fine off lead around other dogs & on lead as long as he isn’t surrounded, he hasn’t ever gone for another dog but does get scared & yelp when dogs surround him. French bulldogs/pugs don’t seem to like him for some reason.
He hasn’t been neutered yet as the vet wanted to wait until he was 1.
I am in no rush to rehome him as I need the perfect home for him so I know he will be loved & have all the attention & fun he needs. Please only apply if you think you can give him these things.
