Description
Hey! This is Shrimp, also know as Shrimples, Shrimplestiltskin, Shrimpy shrew, Prawn, Shrimplet, *insert swear here*, Squishy.
I've had Shrimp from a kitten, and it's a rehoming situation that suits her more than it suits me, basically I don't want her to go, but she'll be happier. She currently lives with just me, and two other cats. Whilst my other two are chill, Shrimp is not. She needs more attention and time than I can give her, and needs minimum of a 1:1 human:cat ratio. Ideally, a single cat, but she's grown up around cats so no issue if you have another one. The key is, one human for one cat, and not humans that are out at work all day.
Please don't enquire if you're working full time in an office, a hybrid role where you're home most of the time or WFH situation would suit her well. The whole point of rehoming her is to place her somewhere she has people around her to fuss and play with her.
She's a lap cat, who also plays fetch. She's trained to sit, and we're working towards giving paw. She'll talk to you, get under blankets with you, and loves chasing dangly toys. She's not a huge fan of being picked up, although if you have a fluffy snuggly dressing gown on, she'll let you scoop her up and carry her around like a baby because she nuzzles the material. It's insanely cute. If you try and pick her up and other time she will probably bite you and tell you to get lost (she doesn't bite or scratch beyond a warning, she's never drawn blood or hurt anyone, but she will touch you with her teeth and claws if you disrespect her warnings, which is fair enough).
She isn't bothered by the outside, so I wouldn't mind her going to a flat providing you have cat trees and things for her to climb. She is however, rather round so next to no treats and weigh her food.
Currently on James Wellbeloved grain free turkey, but she yams the other cats food whenever they're not looking, combine that with her lack of outside enthusiasm and she is a bit of a chonk.
She was last vaccinated the 30th of December, aside from being a bit on the large side, vet was very happy with her health and she has no known allergies or health concerns. She is microchipped, and flea'd with bravecto which is a 3 monthly treatment. This was last done the beginning of January so won't need flea treatment until the 1st of April. I will reworm her just before she goes to her new home.
She will come with a little bag of cat food, some of her favourite toys, and a blanket.
I am in no rush to re-home this "easy to see" cat, she's amazing, and I will miss her so much. Sometimes we have to do right by the animal though, and my working situation will change from a WFH to full time office mid Feb, and she needs more interaction.
Feel free to call or text if you have any questions. I will not let her go on a first visit, and encourage you to come and see her and spend a bit of time with her.
