πΆ Rescue Story: BARBIE is one of the few dozen dogs evacuated and rescued from an abandoned breeder farm. The owners, along with their children, fled from war abroad, leaving all the dogs with their elderly mother, who refused to leave. Initially, there were plans to find a place in a new country for all the dogs, but unfortunately, they were never successful. Consequently, all the dogs were left with the elderly lady, who was unable to care for them properly. Most of the dogs had to live outside in small, cold, overcrowded aviaries, as there wasn't enough room for all of them inside the house. They were not well-fed or groomed, as the elderly lady couldn't manage it alone. When the owners confirmed they were not going to take the dogs abroad, the elderly lady called the rescue herself and asked for help. The dogs were then split between a few rescues. Before the war, finding homes for these dogs locally would not have been an issue. However, in the current uncertain times, people are hesitant to adopt
Detailed Information:
πΆ BARBIE is very loving and nothing she needs more than having her human by her side. She is in good health, but is not active and prefers to cuddle near humans and can be fussy about the weather, sometimes refusing to go out. Sometimes to make her out, foster just need to carry this little celebrity to the garden on hands, what is a pleasure, as she so sweet and tiny. She is housetrained but may use a puppy pad at home if the weather is not to her liking.
πΆ Despite her small size, BARBIE is confident and outgoing, often playing the funny little boss with other dogs. She quickly establishes boundaries, especially when it comes to her food and her place in bed near a human. She doesnβt attack other dogs but will funny grumble and growl to communicate her wishes.
πΆ BARBIE currently lives in a foster home with many dogs and cats. She sleeps in a bed with her foster (together with a few more dogs) and agrees to share the bed but will protect her right to sleep in particular her favorite place: near her foster's belly. She is generally fine with other dogs and cats, not showing much interest in communicating with them and tolerating everyone in the house as long as they accept her rules for food and bedtime. During the day she happily sleeps sharing beds with other dogs and even cats.
πΆ BARBIE is a true companion dog, very attached to her humans. She may struggle with long absences from her owner and can become depressed if left alone too often. She will thrive in a home where someone is always around or where her owner can take her everywhere with them.
πΆ BARBIE can adapt to any kind of home, whether with adults or older children (8+), who can handle her carefully.
πΆ BARBIE is fully healthy, spayed, has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
