Here we have our juvenile Rainbow Crab Crispy. He has been under my care since October 2024 and has been an amazing part of our family. We took him in from a pet shop that didn’t seem to know how to look after him and wanted to make sure he thrived under proper care as many of these wonderful crabs end up in fish tanks that aren’t suitable for a land crab. He has a lot of growing to do and should reach an adult size of around 6 inches along the carapace. He would benefit from someone with knowledge of crustaceans ideally but of course for any first time owners I’m more than happy to help you with any advice along the way! He currently lives in a large wide Exo Terra vivarium with a large freshwater bowl for soaking in and deep sand/coco fibre substrate for burrowing. I should note that this is for the crab only and not the enclosure in case there is any confusion as we take in other exotic animals in need of a temporary home.
