Description

Name: Benny D.O.Ob: 14/04/2023 Gender: Male Size: Small-medium Breed: Mixed Meet Benny...Benny was found in a cemetery in Romania as a tiny baby with his 5 siblings and rescued by the lovely lady we work with out there. Sadly the pups all caught distemper and 2 of the 6 did not survive. For some reason, these little souls were overlooked by all the other rescues and as a result had spent the first year of their lives living in a stable. When we were asked to take them the answer was obviously yes, as despite their initial shyness these pups are just perfect. In Romania Benny was the least shy of the sibling group, but arrived in the UK as an absolute scaredy pant. All Benny's siblings have now been adopted, so we made the decision to move him into an area where he would have more exposure to the volunteers and within 5 MINUTES he became a different dog and, although still fairly shy, we think he now needs a hone of his own to have his time to shine! Benny has been enjoying bottom scratches and cuddles with the volunteers and his little tail has been wagging like it’s going to fly off. Even at his shyest, Benny has never shown any aggression and we just know he is going to make someone the best companion if they give him the time he needs to find his feet. Benny is neutered, fully vaccinated to UK standards and, although already tested for Brucellosis in Romania, will have a second UK laboratory test before being re-homed (as some UK vets will not accept the results of the Romanian test). Benny is what we’d class as a small medium and is currently a little on the chubby side (due to his liking of pigs snouts and furry rabbits ears!) and would fit well into many homes. As he has not experienced much of the outside world, he needs a family that will not rush him and allow him to take things at his own pace and in return he will love you unconditionally for the rest of his life. If you have a Benny-shaped hole in your life please pop onto our website at www.savingandrehomingstrays.org and complete an application form. (Please note a £500 adoption donation and a virtual home check will apply. Thank you!)
