Description
Compact 3.5yr ‘Cindy’ is available in the Brixham area- U.K. fostered Darling Cindy arrived in her lovely foster home on the 3rd June 24’ & both the foster mum & kids couldn’t speak more highly of her. There have been no issues whatsoever & she is so deserving of a permanent home. She misses the company of dogs as was very attached to the resident lad in her last home. That has recently caused the poor girl a lack of confidence in areas she has always flourished in like travelling to her favourite walking spots on foot or by car- she has a hoot of a time when she gets there- this is what happens when they move home- like humans it can cause a couple of insecurities & understandable anxieties. It’s nothing that won’t evaporate once she gets settled with the right special people & is being resolved with her current carer with patience & thoughtfulness. We are so impressed with how great she is & not surprised - even down to toileting outside when she first got to her fosters- you could expect a few accidents after the stress she went through. She’s amazing with the children young & older & doesn’t bat an eyelid at the visiting cats. Cindy adores other dogs & had a ball with one she encountered on a walk recently. Because she is so happy with canine company & a garden to frolic in - these are amongst her ‘must-haves’. She is allowed on the sofa where she is staying & was accustomed to this prior to rehoming so she will also need the run of your home. It wouldn’t be fair to change this as she wouldn’t comprehend why at this stage & would add to her confusion during a transition. Her recall is phenomenal despite never being trained in this area - she just does it & wants to come back to you. Smart girl. The foster said she’s absolutely amazing & “90% of the time I’m happy to let her off the lead unless too many dogs who don’t want to play & if they don’t she knows & instantly walks away- as you can see from the videos had a great play with an 11 month old dog & they played beautifully.” If you want to know how easy & gorgeous she is you don’t need to take the welfare’s word for it when we have the sentiments of the foster herself- ‘a day in the life of cindy’:- “Cindy and I wake up around 08:30am. She is let out in the garden and then has her morning cuddle which she loves. We have our breakfast, then time for walkies. She loves to play with other dogs so we start off at the field so she can burn some energy off. We also take her to a dog friendly beach where Cindy enjoys getting her paws wet and chasing other dogs tennis balls (she isn't interested in her own!). When we arrive back home she loves treats, snoozing in the sun and helping me in the greenhouse. She knows she can have a strawberry in the evening. We play in the local field then followed by dinner time. Cindy loves to sit by you, having her tummy tickled and playing with my children. She is anxious if she doesn't know you but this changes quickly with food. Once Cindy gets to know you, you will have a friend for life. She is a beautiful girl.” About a week after she arrived in foster:- “She is such a sweetheart and happiest when she is laying on your lap having tummy tickles. She also loves other dogs, so would be great in a dog home. She is still very anxious with new people, especially men. She is very food orientated, so training will be easy.” Welfares information.
