Description
DOLLY IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE.
Dolly has come to us as a stray. She’s about 1 year-old and only slightly bigger than a whippet. She weighs about 17kg.
Dolly was very scared and shut down when she first arrived, but over the last few weeks thanks to the time and care shown by the LL Rescue staff she has come out of her shell.
Dolly is friendly and very playful with other dogs. She is more confident when she is around them and for this reason we think she’d be best rehomed with another dog.
Dolly is very clean in her kennel; we don’t know if she’s been used to living in a house before but we don’t think it’ll take long to toilet-train her.
Dolly doesn’t appear to have been used to walking on a lead before, so she does jump all over the place at the moment; we are working on improving this but any future owner may need to spend some time training her to walk nicely.
Dolly is still very nervous at times and prefers women to men; she will need a patient and kind new owners who understand she will need time to build her confidence. She is a flight risk and her new owners will need take sensible precautions such as using a 3-point-harness. She wouldn’t suit a home with noisy children (Sensible teenagers might be a possibility)
Not suitable to live with cats or any other small furry animals.
