Yorek! Approx 2 yrs old Currently in UK foster - Birmingham B45
Originally from Cyprus
Poor Yorek found himself wondering the streets of Cyprus having been dumped by his owner, a common story for the island .Finding himself then in the crowded and stressed environment of a municipality shelter .We could see he had such potential being a friendly yet worried boy in the overwhelming kennels so the decision was made for Yorek to come to the UK as a foster to find a loving forever home
Yorek has only be here for a month yet he's not only thrived but blossomed into a fabulous boy who was made for homelife ! He's picked up and learnt huge amounts since his arrival. Learning leash walking, houstraining, how to play , enjoying walks .He's come on so quickly, he's a complete natural in a home , loving every minute of his new life
He already adores his foster mummy and human sister , people are his favourite although he e joys the company of other dogs too
He foster mummy has nothing but positive praise for him
Here's what she says about him !
"Oh what a lovely gentle dog!
From the moment he arrived here he's been so happy to just have a fuss and treat. He's such a character! Definitely obsessed with chicken and belly rubs. He is learning to play with his toys but prefers to be with people. He's very sociable with women and children. It takes a little longer with men(unless they are walking a dog). Yorek loves to play with other dogs but can get a bit boisterous. He is very vocal when playing. He's not very comfortable with stairs in the home but is ok with stairs outside. Yorek doesn't like being left alone. He loves his food. He's easy to train. So far he knows sit, stay and eyes. He will go in a crate, but he's just getting used to it. 30 minutes is a short walk for yorek. He needs a good long walk in the morning. At the moment he has 4/5 walks a day. Over all he's a wonderful hairy cuddle bug."
Yorek could live with a family with older children , over 10 yrs old
He could live with another young playful dog with introductions prior to establish if they were a good match
We wouldn't advise he lives with small furries
