DescriptionMonty the Wonder Cat Seeks Furever Family Monty (6 years old) joined us due to an extension in his family. He has explained that he found it very hard to share his floofs with baby because he felt like his toe beans were being pushed out of joint. Being of ingenious cat brain, Monty realised that there were certain escape routes available (babies need a ridiculous amount of stuff to travel) and that pram-through-door spaces enabled speedy floof exit.
We all know how much anxiety an escaping floof causes, hence, we need a NO Baby Household, please. Monty is, quite honestly, the biggest fussiest most loving floof we’ve ever known. He loves brushes, games, attention, conversation, company and more company.
We are in love with his personality – he really is superb company. We’d genuinely love to keep him but have a house full already. This description can’t do him justice as he is so lovely.
The Important Bit That You Need To Read Closely:
When he arrived he was bereft by the loss of his humans and by the transition. It made him incredibly upset and this was shown through his behaviour. Now - there is not an inch of malice in this floof – he wouldn’t hurt a fly BUT he did look like a velociraptor. It’s to be noted that Monty (Montysaurus) is a big boy. If you have watched the film Jurassic Park, he reminded us of the scene where the complete cow in a cage is dangled over the enclosure to feed the dinosaurs. It’s not an exaggeration to say that he was rather scary and he took several days to decompress. He was terrified of being left on his own, so it took lots of trips in and out of the studio to restore confidence that a human would come back to him.
This is a process of adjustment that has to be done at his speed with a confident but gentle approach – respectfully, not by an inexperienced floof handler. Honesty prevailing, he may well revert to this behaviour again as he settles in his new home, as he has bonded with us very strongly. We will, however, work with you to support him and to settle him in, offering all the support you will need to get through his process of adjustment. This means that if you are within the Staffordshire/Cheshire area, you will be given priority consideration as we can then best support him in situ, or if you are a very experienced floof parent with experience of this sort of cat.
Monty is a very clean boy and uses his tray like a purrrfect gent. He enjoys Purina Biofensis (free grazing) and lots of water. Once settled, he is a delight to be with. You will need to be a very special human to wrestle this huge chonk out of my arms for a re-home, as he deserves so much. Happy for video calls, meet n greet (Stoke On Trent) and any discussion but please note, this will be a very selective process for a very special boy. Purrs, Sarah & Montysaurus 😻🐈
