This beautiful 18 month old girl is called Poppy.
We have had Poppy since she was 8 weeks old, we bought Poppy with the hope to compete her in field trials but unfortunately she makes a slight squeak which means we cannot compete her.
If you are looking for a dog that is ready to go and fit into your life style, Poppy is the little girl for you. She has the most amazing temperament, she’s fantastic around people, dogs and children. She loves being my running partner where we go trail running for miles, she loves swimming in the sea and cuddles in front of the fire. Poppy is ball obsessed and will do anything for a biscuit. She has perfect recall and walks to heal on and off the lead.
Poppy has been trained as a working gundog and has been shot over all season. She is a fully trained beating and peg dog. She is steady to shot and flush. She has sat on the peg with me this season. She smashes through cover, nothing fazes her. Will retrieve anything - pheasants, partridge, duck, rabbit and all types of dummies. I’d say her handling is 70% of the way there. She stops, goes back, left and right, does distractions, memories and blinds.
Poppy’s half brother won this years springer spaniel championship, and her grandmother won it a few years ago. Poppy has a fantastic pedigree to go with her fantastic temperament which can be seen in the picture of all the FTCHs which are in red on her pedigree.
