I bought this lovely little 4 year old Imperial Shih Tsu for my elderly mum 2 months ago after her Cavapoo died last summer. We rehomed him from a family whose working patterns had changed. The family had a child with disabilities and the dog was a companion to him and we thought he would be ideal for my mum.
Reggie is very affectionate and friendly in the home. He is also small, physically healthy, and housetrained. He LOVES playing in the garden and he is excellent around people. He is super-sweet, very loving, and really cute. He also likes going on short walks and doesn't need a much exercise.
Unfortunately, his previous family did not socialise him with other dogs and this has come to be a problem for my mum. He is aggressive towards other dogs when he first meets them and my elderly mum doesn’t have the strength to rein him in. He will need someone willing to train him to behave around other dogs.
He would make an excellent companion dog for someone who has a garden but doesn’t like to go on long walks.
