Description

Hi, I’m sadly having to part with my gorgeous rabbits Milo and Meadow due to unforeseen circumstances. Both are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and litter trained. They will come with everything they’ve got (litter, food, hay, toys etc.) Milo (male/holland lop/born 04/2021/lighter coloured) Milo is the social bun of the two. He absolutely loves people and would sit for cuddles and strokes 24/7. He is extremely food motivated and the smartest bunny ever. If there’s an escape option he will find it. He loves to run and binky when given the chance and will then hop up onto the sofa for some love once he’s all tired out. He is a cheeky bun and will chew when given the chance so cables do need to be protected (we’ve had no problem with baseboards though) but brings endless entertainment. Meadow (female/mini lop/born 11/2020/darker and larger) Meadow is a bun who likes to keep to herself. She is absolutely in love with Milo but not as obsessed with people, she’d rather view from afar. She is also very food motivated and will accept some pets when food is involved. Her favourite activity is flopping out in a corner and watching the world go by. Our problem with her is getting her to do some exercise as if it were up to her she would never! She is a very sweet bun who just loves her own space but shows her love through the odd lick after a treat has been exchanged and by seeing just how chilled and comfortable she is. Together both rabbits make a perfect pair. They love their food, their free roam time and going out in the garden in the summer. They currently live inside in a sectioned off part of a room (picture shown) but enjoy lots of free roam time around the house. I will not be letting them go to a home where they would be kept in a cage as they would not cope, a shed/ room/ free roaming arrangement would be ideal. I am so sad to be parting with them and so please reach out if you have any questions or would like some more pictures as there is an endless supply. These rabbits would not be suitable for young children as Meadow needs a calm and understanding owner who respects her boundaries. Neither bunnies bite and are both able to be held for nail trims and brushing (with some protest of course). I cant wait for you to meet them and fall just as in love as I have! x

Buyer's checklist for rabbits

1

Be responsible, do your research first

Getting rabbits is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched all of their general needs, and those specific to their breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the rabbits. You can read our detailed information guide about rabbits for potential new rabbit owners. If you are looking for a rabbit to keep your rabbit company remember that they will both need to be neutered and that a male / female pair works best. Rabbits are a long term commitment as they can live up to 10 years.

2

Rabbits need a friend and space

Rabbits should never be kept alone, they need the company of other (neutered) rabbits. They need space to stand, hop, jump and run, and safe places for hiding. The absolute minimum space required 24/7 for up to 2 average sized rabbits is area 3m x 2m x 1m high.

3

Health check & welfare

It can be difficult for the average person to check if a rabbit is healthy or not. The seller should be willing to let you take the rabbit to a vet of your choice for a health check and return the pet within 48 hours for a full refund if there are health issues. If the rabbit has already been health checked, make sure you have this documented and phone their vet. Also remember rabbits need to be neutered so that they can live with other rabbits, and vaccinated annually to protect them against myxomatosis and RVHD1 and 2. Register with a rabbit friendly veterinary Practice. We would advise that you read the following article containing rabbit care and welfare information provided by the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund (RWAF).

4

Report, don’t support!

If you believe a rabbit may be subject to irresponsible breeding, do not “rescue” the rabbit by rehoming it. Walk away and report the seller to us immediately.

5

Rabbits must be 8 weeks when collected

Rabbits must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before they can leave their mothers. Most responsible sellers will keep their rabbits longer than this before they let them go to new homes. Make sure you take some of the food with you so you can change over to your own food gradually.
