💙 Alfie is a handsome, friendly boy who is looking for his own home. Little is known of Alfie’s past; he was saved from a UK pound where he was due to be PTS for being a stray. Alfie is a loving boy who loves food, people and some dogs.
Whilst in foster care Alfie has had several successful play dates in a dog field with a greyhound he is familiar with. Alfie can be reactive to bigger dogs; the pound he was in bred German Shepherds and Alfie has a particular aversion to this breed of dog. Alfie is currently being trained in foster to overcome this reactiveness and this training will need to be carried on by his future human. As Alfie is a sight hound, he has a high prey drive and will react to small animals, cats, rabbits etc.
Alfie is very undemanding and low maintenance. Happy to snooze the day away after a run, it would be ideal for Alfie to have access to a garden to be able to run in. His recall is good, Alfie knows his basic commands, travels well, is toilet trained, sleeps soundly overnight and can be left alone for a few hours.
Can you offer this young boy a home where his training can be continued so he can be happy fitting into your way of life. Do you have the patience and time initially to help Alfie reach his full potential. Do you want a dog who is low maintenance and very loyal.
