Description

Gorgeous Pearl is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She’s an affectionate girl who wants to be close to you, purrs all the time and loves scritches, especially behind her floofy ears. She’ll also make you laugh by singing for her dinner and to say hello and by constantly hunting down new places to sleep in her search for the comfiest beds :) Her fosterer calls her the Best Pet Ever! Pearl was likely used to breeding and was then dumped when she developed panleukopenia (or parvo, as it’s called in dogs). Breeders don’t care about animals, only profit and so, when she wasn’t useful to them, they dumped her on the street. Her rescuer had been to pick up three other street cats and thankfully found Pearl. She posted on social media and someone immediately offered to adopt her but when she found out she had panleuk, she never came to pick her up. Poor Pearl sat waiting in her carrier for 6 hours, having been let down again. Panleuk is often deadly but, with her rescuer’s care, Pearl bravely fought it off. Since she’s fully recovered, there shouldn’t be any ongoing issues and, actually, she’s shown how strong her immune system is by recovering. Pearl isn’t a big fan of other cats (she won’t attack them but appears frightened by them, something we often see in cats used for breeding) and so should be your only cat. We haven’t seen her with dogs. She enjoys a quiet house so any children should be older. She is very chilled out and would suit an indoor home fine. As a theft risk, you may choose to keep her inside even if you have a garden. Pearl is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed and can’t wait to meet her forever family!
