Frodo is almost 3 years and is a great dog, very active, cute, extremely smart. We are looking for someone experienced with dogs that can handle him, considering his reactivity. Probably not for families with small kids, but would likely be good with other dogs.
We are having a hard time dealing with his reactivity, so we were only able to walk him leashed, unless in an open field, but we still used a long tape, as he chases after runners or bicycles, or cars.
He is very friendly to 95% of dogs he meets, but can bark at some. He is also friendly to people with dogs, but barks and pulls towards people without dogs.
He has never bitten anyone, but he does get grumpy and growls at our 6 year old daughter when she is loud or sometimes when she walks past him in the evening. He may also growl at us sometimes, when he suspects that we want to do something he doesn't like, like applying creme on his back (during some periods of the year he scratches it). He knows basic commands, but he complies only when he feels like it, to be honest, never got to get full compliance and recall from him, as he can get distracted and then doesn't react.
