🐶 INDIE is a beautiful young girl, born in July 2024, a German Shepherd x Akita cross – a perfect mix of loyalty, intelligence, and affection. She is just under a year old and already showing what a sweet and loving soul she is. Indie is used to living in a home with a garden, adores people, and is housetrained. Unfortunately most of day and all night she spent in a crate... She came with super long nails... But she is such an incredible girl
🐶 INDIE is already with our amazing foster and needs a forever home/ foster-to-adopt home asap, where she can be loved, properly exercised, and continue her journey towards becoming a wonderful, well-rounded family member.
That's what Foster family say about her:" Indy is a gorgeous 9 months old shepherd/akita Cross. Indy has been with the same family since 8 weeks but due to work commitments found they could not give her the time and commitment she needs which meant she was left in a crate for long periods of time. They have surrendered her to us in hope of giving her a better life. Although she can seem a little shy to start with, she is a very friendly girl and has a lot of love to give. She has been excellent with our 4 year old twins and chases/plays with them which both the children and her enjoy. We have introduced her to my border collie, Indie is very keen and has been following her everywhere. So we feel she would be happy living with other dogs. She has had a brief meeting with my cat and seemed interested but did not chase. She is such a lovely girl. "

INDIE has been loved but sadly found herself needing a new home because her family’s working hours have changed dramatically to full-time job far from home, and they can no longer provide her with the time and attention she deserves. She was bought from a private seller at just a small pup and has lived happily in a family with adults and a child.
This sweet young girl is now looking for a fresh start with a family who will cherish her youthful energy and loving nature.
🐶 INDIE is described as very friendly, affectionate, and a real people-dog. She enjoys fuss and cuddles and is always happy to be by your side.
🐶 INDIE is fully housetrained, walks nicely on a lead, and reacts well to people and dogs she meets. She sleeps in a crate in the kitchen and is used to a mixture of wet and dry food.
🐶 INDIE is still very much a young, growing girl, and she will blossom with someone who can invest time in continuing her training, introducing her to new experiences gently, and giving her plenty of opportunities for exercise and mental stimulation.
Being a German Shepherd x Akita, Indie will be loyal, clever, and loving, but she will also need good boundaries and consistent guidance to grow into the amazing dog she is destined to be.

Indie would thrive in an active home where her people have time for walks, training, and companionship. She would suit an individual, couple, or family with older children who are used to medium-large dogs.
A home with a secure garden would be ideal, and she would be happiest where she isn’t left for long periods. Indie would also likely enjoy the company of a friendly dog, though she could also thrive as the centre of attention in a dog-savvy home.
She needs an affectionate but structured environment where she can continue to grow into the brilliant, loving companion she promises to be.
