Stormās story begins in the most heartbreaking way. A 1-year-old Husky cross, rescued from an abusive home in Spain, where he was beaten and mistreated by a woman who left him broken in body and spirit. For the first months of his life, Storm knew nothing but fear, pain, and loneliness. He was just a pup, but his innocence was stolen too soon.
Then, a glimmer of hope appeared. He was saved and brought to the UK by hope for paws three months ago, where he found a foster home willing to help him heal. For the first time, Storm experienced kindnessāthe warmth of a soft bed, the care of gentle hands, and the safety of knowing he would never be hurt again. But even in this new place, the scars of his past ran deep. He still struggled to trust women and flinched when anyone reached out to him too quickly.
Yet, Stormās spirit is unbreakable. Despite everything, he is the sweetest, most loving dog you could meet. He craves attention, thrives on companionship, and is eager to please. His foster home has done everything to help him recover, but now, due to unavoidable circumstances, they can no longer keep him. The thought of Storm slipping through their fingers breaks their hearts. And with no one else to turn to, he faces the terrifying prospect of being sent to a poundāalone, cold, and scared once again.
Storm is desperate for a home, but not just any home. He needs someone who understands his past and will give him the time and love he deserves. Heās good with other dogs, though heās understandably cautious around larger male dogs. His ideal home is a male-only household, or a couple with an experienced female who can earn his trust. He has no place for children in his lifeāhe needs calm and quiet, a safe space to rebuild his confidence.
