This beautiful boy is a German Shorthaired pointer and he has flown from Cyprus to find his forever home . He is currently in foster in Buckinghamshire and is 18 months old ,
This what his foster mum says about him
Dante isn’t your typical pointer, he doesn’t go off hunting and always wants to be able to see you. He’s a nervous boy around new people but doesn’t take him long to warm up to you and is getting so much more confident each day. We have ventured to the local pub and he happily sits and watches everything going on and has even started to venture up to people he doesn’t know for a sniff. Dante is good on the lead and doesn’t pull. He’d make a great yard dog as he follows me around all morning and is great with the horses. He lived with a cat in his first foster home so also good with cats. Dante loves to make new friends and has been great with all my customers dogs and any dogs we meet out on walks, he loves to run and play. Dante is great off lead and his recall is getting better each day, he often makes it back before my own dog! Dante is crate trained but I’ve never needed to use one with him. He sleeps all night downstairs and never hear a peep until I get up in the morning and he’s never made a mess in the house. He’s also been left 4-5 hours after a long walk and slept the entire time (kept an eye on him from my camera) and I’m always greeted with a very waggily bum and his favourite toy! Dante doesn’t have any food aggression as I often find both the dogs eating from the same bowl if I don’t keep an eye on them at meal times. Dante would benefit from another dog in the household while he’s still learning and realising people are good to be around so he can continue to learn from them and gain confidence although I think he’d be fine as an only dog if he had lots of human company. As Dante is still young he will require further training but is turning into a great dog. Dante could be homed with older children as he may find smaller children overwhelming.
He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a lovely boy
