Buko (Filipino for Coconut) is a gorgeous young and. handsome rescue cat that came into our care after he was dumped by his original owners and left to wander in the wet and rainy weather for weeks on end, before we were able to locate and catch him.
Now, safely in our care, Buko is back to thriving and enjoying the luxuries of being pampered and loved.
Buko is an Arabian Mau and the vet estimates him at being around 2 years young. Little Buko is a perfect, strapping specimen of cat but due to territorial fights to survive on the streets from when he was dumped, blood tests now show that Buko is FIV+ which means he needs to be the only cat and indoors only so as not to give it to other cats. He is still as healthy as a horse (or should we say, healthy as a very healthy cat!) and he just needs a loving forever indoor home with some good food and lots of pampering.
Buko loves his home comforts. He is happiest indoors, where he can explore every nook and cranny. He needs to be the only cat in your life as he isn't one for sharing the spotlight! We haven’t tested him with dogs yet, so a dog-free home would be best and least stress for him, although he would adjust to a cat-friendly / calm dog if introduced correctly. Buko is great with children! His playful and spritely nature makes him a perfect playmate and loves the pets and attention.
In terms of hobbies, Buko loves being nosy and watching the world go by from the safety of your window. He’s a big fan of TV and will gladly binge-watch your favourite shows with you.
He is always ready for a game, and Buko's playful spirit is infectious!
He will chat with you and let you know when it's dinner time (incase you happen to forget) and loves to have conversations. He’s also a big fan of snuggles and will curl up with you on your lap, or next to you on a plush cushion or blanket at any chance he gets.
