It absolutely breaks my heart to be writing this and something that I really did not want to do but unfortunately I think I have no choice.
I’m going to have to rehome my collie, Ollie. It’s with in no fault of his own but with his reactivity and his behavioural issues and me going to be a mum soon and on my own I won’t be able to have him once the baby arrives 😔 it’s seriously breaks my heart and I want to make sure he has the right forever home that will have the time and take care of him probably.
(Little background of him)
Ollie is 3, border collie with epilepsy, a b12 deficiency and also he’s reactive towards other animals. Preferably needs a home with no children (young babies) or other animals. He takes different medication daily that helps with his anxiety, his vitamins deficiency and also his epilepsy that he would need everyday.
With being on my own and having a baby soon it’s not possible for me to have him here anymore. I have tried everything I can for him in his whole life with taking him to training, seeing a behavioural specialist, the last option I was told was to put him to sleep. This is something I can’t bring my heart to do. He is an amazing dog and be perfect as someone best friend, he’s such a loyal dog he would be great for someone who lives alone. He does have his issues but someone who will love him as much as I do will take care of him. For anyone who knows me knows Ollie is my world and I’ve had him on my own since he was just 8 weeks old and it’s killing me that I have to do this but I need to think about the next chapter in my life and I can’t risk it with the baby here.
Please if anyone has any enquires or wants to know abit more can drop me a message. This would not be an easy transition for me or him so it would take a few months before hand. I am not looking for anything for him I just want him to go to someone who will look after him because he deserves it.
