Katie is a very sweet 3 year old mixed breed girl. She is approximately 48cm in height. So far, she has proved to have no interest in cats, would benefit from other another dog, but she'd prefer older children, or no children in her home (she needs calm). Katie has a manageable physical issue and so we are looking for a "Forever Foster" (long-term foster placement) for her, so we can continue to support her. For this reason, we would prefer a home in travelling distance of Worcester.
Katie is an absolute cuddle monster! Her humans will need to have plenty of loves and hugs on supply for this lady. She adores sofa time with TV and snuggles with you. If you let her, she'll even sneak onto your bed! While she loves to be super affectionate and close, she doesn't suffer with anxiety or separation issues. She can be left home alone when required.
When Katie arrived in the UK she seemed full of health, but in foster we noticed that she was a little stumbly on her legs. This prompted medical tests and visits to a Neurologist, and it basically seems like the part of her brain responsible for mobility isn't working properly. She can look a little uncoordinated and has some funky dance moves, but, when the treats packet gets crackled, she still finds her way speedily to your side, despite her journey looking a little bit like a scene from Monty Python's, "The Ministry of Silly Walks." To be honest, her quirky ways just make her even more adorable!!
Her condition seems to have stabilised, and the Vet and Neurologist are both very happy with her health, and can see she isn't in pain or suffering. To the contrary, she's an incredibly joyful girl and gives her foster parents a lot of reasons to smile every day.
We just need to find Katie a Forever Foster placement, where she can live out her days with the support of Amicii for her medical needs (if any). She'd prefer someone to be around a lot of the time, as she loves pottering around with her human. Katie wears a harness so that her human's can give her some support when needed. She's also enjoyed use of a dog-carriage on holidays. When she is able to be let off lead to run around with the other doggies, she loves playing.
Katie is an amazing companion who will light up your every day. She is sweet, funny and affectionate. Her Forever humans will be so lucky to have her in their lives.
Katie doesn't have any pain, or impairment to living her best life, all she wants if someone who will be around most the time, as she loves to Potter around with you, she is by far the most amazing companion and will light up everyday for you. She is a sweetie, funny and affectionate
