DescriptionThis is a Repost.
Please read the advert as most people ask questions already stated without reading as they see a good looking dog.
Happy to answer any unanswered questions in this advert.
If you are unfamiliar with this breed, don’t have much patience or cannot handle the noises and grunts they make when overwhelmed, excited, nervous or panting after a long walk then please don’t enquire, serious enquiries only. No time wasters please as he is not for rent for the night just to bring back the next day it’s simply not fair on him or any dog to have to be put in a stressful situation like that to have to go through it all over again. He does take time to settle but once he’s settled he’s great. So you need to be patient and supportive to him when you take him home. Please think long and hard before making a final commitment.
He is needy at times but such a lovely loveable dog. He doesn’t longer have the time or patience for time wasters, he needs to be loved.
Thank you
As with most ads on here I’m sadly rehoming this big lump at no fault of his own, I don’t want him to go to anyone so you must have an understanding of these dogs, he hyper ventilates a lot but mainly when he wants something or needs the toilet, occasionally when he sees people come into the house.
He’s a big softy but he doesn’t understand his own strength sometimes and is also very needy, loves attention and loves walks.
He’s very intelligent but chooses to play stupid 9/10 of the times, big foodie, usually raw feed him but he loves his dry buscuits, tinned food is a big no for him, he waits for his food on command and doesn’t break eye contact until you point or give him the go ahead.
He knows when you do certain things, pick up things or put on certain clothes that he’s going out or somethings going on.
I had driven 3 hours to get him so I am not his first owner and I personally didn’t want to get rid of him but due to circumstances of where we have recently moved to its not been ideal for him, he doesn’t need walking too much but he does need regular garden access, he loves sitting in the garden, he can be left alone and in a crate over night.
He’s perfect with kids but he likes to jump at adults and sometimes when he gets excited or thinks he’s getting a treat he forgets his own strength and runs past the kids and potentially knocks them over, luckily my kids are used to it and even my 1 year old baby dodges him, he’s very gentle with them.
He does not like male dogs, he’s very hit and miss with female dogs but prefer a home without dogs.
He’s also very protective and alert when he’s not being a softy, I’d suggest avoiding play fighting too much as he tends to step in when he thinks people are being hurt, he’s very vocal and friendly and his way of saying hello when you come home is he puts your hand in his mouth but doesn’t bite.
He can sound quite scary to kids but I assure you he’s harmless and it’s quite funny but can be annoying at times so again, must be aware and prepared for a noisy dog at times. Sleeps like a baby all night, fidget arse during the day.
Would love to be kept updated from time to time but that’s the choice of whoever he goes to.
Serious enquiries only please.
