Hulio spent 2 yrs in a shelter in Cyprus and 9 months in a Uk kennels before being adopted 2 yrs ago in the UK.
Sadly he now find himself back in kennels.
Hulio was profoundly happy with his life when he was adopted , he was loved and cared for throughout, we all thought he was settled for life, sadly not.
Although his family loved him deeply they couldn't meet his needs and so asked us to rehome him.
Tragically that meant Hulio left all that was dear to him to return to a kennel environment which he's finding very difficult to handle . He's confused and stressed and those who know him well can see that he is quite depressed.
Hulio is a 4 year old Mali /shepherd cross boy who is often unsure and insecure but a complete an utter joy of a boy who's really hit hard times.
He is enormously bright as you would expect from his breed mix and really wants to please. He loves to play and is highly responsive to new experiences, but his lack of confidence prevents him from enjoying them fully.
In seeking his forever home Hulio would benefit from having an owner who perhaps has some dog training / behaviourist knowledge and previous experience of larger breeds / shepherd's / Malis, and who understands the depths these dog’s intelligence and can harness this with structured training.
Hulio could possibly live with another dog, but he can be selective. He has enjoyed relationships with other dogs but would possibly be better sharing a home with a female dog. Hulio could not live with cats or children.
We are looking for a person with the superpower to help Hulio navigate this difficult time in his life. He's just frightened and insecure but a very clever, loving dog who is desperate to please and to do the right thing.
We are appealing to you all you experienced dog owners to come forward and help this poor boy and to give him the love, time and patience to enable him to live the life he was meant to.
