We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new litter of 8 gorgeous Truffle-Hunting Trained Lagotto Romagnolo puppies.
We are a small boutique breeder of Lagotto Romagnolo. We specialise in adorable, DNA healthy, truffle hunting dogs - please visit our website https://lagottosandtruffles.com and our social media pages for more photos and videos of the puppies and to learn about us and our dogs. Please see the photo of the mother with the litter, plus photos and videos of our previous litter below to see the signature markings of our puppies and how they will look when they are older; Brown with four white socks; Blonde (Orange); White with Brown markings and Cream with Blonde markings.
Responsible breeding is of the essence to ensure healthy dogs that are free from genetic diseases, hence both parents are fully DNA health tested CLEAR of hereditary diseases JE and LSD and Eye Retinal Atrophy clear. Both with furnishings F/F for an optimal coat, Elbow score perfect zero and Hip Score 15 (breed average). Our puppies come with a 1 Year Heath Guarantee Contract.
The sire, Pico, is a genuine, daily working Truffle Hunting dog in Alba, Italy - the world centre of the famous white truffle. It is very important to us as boutique-breeders to continue the magnificent tradition of the Lagotti as Truffle Hunters - since they are the only breed in the world to be officially recognised as truffle hunting dogs. Consequently, our puppies are trained from 2 weeks of age in the time-honoured, confidential Italian Truffle method to recognise the unique scent of truffles...
Lagotti are fantastic with young children and don't shed hair, so they are renowned as a hypo-allergenic dog breed. The puppies are born and raised within our family home with their mother, our two other Lagottos and our cat. Hence they are used to other pets and to family noises, music, TV etc. We have land, so the puppies have a large garden area for playing and socialising. The mother has a very loving, gentle temperament and the puppies receive love and cuddles from us on a daily basis to ensure they become well-balanced, loving dogs.
The puppies are examined by a Licensed vet, receive two phases of puppy vaccinations and of course, are microchipped, dewormed and pedigree certified.
We provide lifetime support to our puppy owners and welcome as much or as little contact as you would like...
