🐶 ROCCO is a 2-year-old chocolate Labrador who is full of love, joy, and unstoppable energy. He was abandoned at his current owner's home and, despite her best efforts, she can no longer meet his needs. He desperately needs an active, structured home where he can burn off his energy in a positive way and learn boundaries.

Rescue Story & Why He Needs a New Home
🐶 Rocco’s life has been full of uncertainty. Originally left in poor conditions in an outbuilding with no interaction, he was passed to his current owner under the promise of a "temporary stay"—which turned into 18 months. He arrived skinny and scared, but once he felt safe, he blossomed into a happy, affectionate, but highly energetic young Labrador. His new family has tried best, but due to health issues and a chaotic household with multiple animals, they can no longer provide Rocco with the structure, exercise, and training he desperately needs.
💔 “He is sweet and social, but his energy is overwhelming. He just wants to play with everything and everyone, but doesn’t understand boundaries. He’s never shown aggression, even during a break-in at our house – he just went in for a cuddle! But he’s just too strong for me to handle anymore. He needs a home that can match his energy and give him the structure he deserves.”
🐶 ROCCO is currently at Foster family with few kids and a cat. Unfortunately he is not great with a cat 😞 He settled good and that's what family say about him: " Rocco is absolutely beautiful, happy, full of energy, loves lots of fuss and belly tickles. He loves a walk outside but does pull on the lead and barks when seeing other dogs/ birds (which with the right training and trustful owner I’m sure he will grow out of). He is fully toilet trained and can be left alone for upto 4/5 hours. We would 100% adopt him but unfortunately he isn’t getting on with our cat and therefore recommend he doesn’t live with any other animals as he will constantly bark. He is great with kids of all ages, obviously being supervised. He deserves a home who can give him the time, love and attention he deserves."
Detailed Information:
🐶 Rocco is a loving, fun, and incredibly affectionate dog. He’s full of playfulness, enthusiasm, and pure Labrador joy, but he struggles with:
🐾 Excessive excitement – He wants to greet everyone, sometimes by jumping up or knocking things over.
🐾 Lead pulling – He gets too excited when seeing other dogs and people.
🐾 Boundaries with animals – He doesn’t understand personal space, which makes older cats and calmer dogs avoid him.
However, Rocco is also a smart boy with fantastic recall off-lead, a huge heart, and so much love to give. He thrives when he has:
✔ Plenty of exercise – Running, playing fetch, and daily adventures
✔ Clear boundaries & training – Someone willing to work on his manners
✔ A family that understands energetic breeds
✔ A big garden or easy access to open spaces
Ideal Family for Rocco:
🐶 Rocco would flourish in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise, structure, and love. He’s best suited for older kids (10+), as his excitement and size can knock over younger children. He would do great with another medium-large friendly, playful dog, but small, calmer or elderly pets may find his energy overwhelming.
