Description
FREE 3 very social, empathetic and loving cats. This is a heart-wrenching decision; unfortunately, due to work scheduling (civil/infrastructure engineering), I am always away from home (at times for a few days).
Two boys 7 (Jan) Leonard & Malakai, both are brothers from the same litter, and girl 5.5 (6 in Sept) River (tabby).
None of the cats had any injections (purely because they have always been indoor-only), however, if that is important, I can get that arranged/cover the costs.
None of the cats had any health concerns; they are flea+worm treated annually just as a prophylactic, with dental health checks to ensure there are no issues (never left a check up with any concerns).
Leonard and Malakai are very social, they like being with and around people, are very inquisitive, yet equally calm enough and respectful of boundaries. They are used to spending time in their own company (due to my scheduling), but are always nearby when I am at home, or visitors are over, and often conduct a 'greeting party' by the door when I, or anyone arrives to the door.
River is a gentle, thoughtful soul who prefers to take time building trust with new people. She's not anti-social at all — She is always found close by, especially alongside Malakai and Leonard — yet She values calm and patience from those around Her.
River shows affection in quieter ways: never far from Your side and appreciates a gentle (yet obligatory) Good Morning/Night scratch on the head as part of the daily routine. While Malakai and Leonard love constant attention and fuss, River offers Her affection more subtly — and when She chooses to seek You out, it feels all the more special.
She occasionally enjoys stirring up a little harmless mischief with the other guys, but it's all part of her unique, charming personality. River is perfect for someone who understands that true companionship often grows from patience, respect, and quiet loyalty, whilst Leonard and Malakai have always supported Her through that (it's very evident).
They currently share two litter trays between them, which has worked well with no accidents / issues.
When it comes to food, they enjoy a simple and wholesome diet — mostly Indoor Formula varieties from Royal Canin, AVA, or Purina ONE, with occasional treats like tuna chunks (in spring water) or boiled chicken breast mixed with carrots and probiotics. They're not particularly fussy, though they tend to turn their noses up at canned salmon or lower-grade foods!
Leonard and Malakai have hearty appetites and no known sensitivities. River, on the other hand, has shown a little more sensitivity to food changes now and then, so She's happiest and healthiest when the diet remains consistent. It's a small consideration that’s easily managed, and she rewards that little extra care with Her quiet, steady companionship.
This is a deeply reluctant decision, made with their best interests at heart.
All three have been with me since they were very young, and parting with Them is incredibly difficult. However, due to increasing work commitments, extended absences, and the likelihood of a major move, I can no longer provide the consistent presence and care they truly deserve.
While I’ve had support from others checking-in, it’s not the same, nor fair, as having a home where They can enjoy daily attention and companionship. They are wonderful cats who deserve a more stable and present environment, and finding Them the right new home is now my priority.
I genuinely Love, and adore them, and really wish for Them to go into a good home. I am willing to contribute financially towards annual pet insurance, injections/microchips if required. They are full of life, very social, interactive, and loving, even empathetic; and though it may seem like a shallow move from me to re-home them, this is a calculated and conscious move to ensure it is better for Them, and Their future.
I would be very grateful for this advert to be forwarded to any individuals who may be interested, in the case that taking-on three cats may be too much for You.
I wish for them to go as a collective, as they have always been together, and evidently rely on each-other's company.
In the case that You would like to meet these cats prior to any commitment, I am more than happy to welcome You for a day + answer any questions that You may have.
Currently based in Leicester.
Thank You for taking the time to read, and I look forward to hearing from You soon.
