MALIBU came into our care from our friends who run another Charity based in Leicester. They had rescued him, some time ago, from a public shelter. Most photos attached are from there. We’ll take some fresh ones, but he is still very scruffy and not quite ready for grooming…
MALIBU is a Mioritic Shepherd Dog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanian_Mioritic_Shepherd_Dog) - a medium /large size boy, weighing around 32 Kg.
He was fully vaccinated and he was neutered, too.
We think MALIBU is younger than the official 6 years - as he is quite active ; he behaves like a puppy most of the time. It is a common practice there (at the communal “shelters”) to state an older age - so people like us cannot accuse them of putting down young dogs…
Smart and well behaved, he is friendly with everybody he knows, but a bit nervous with unknown/unfriendly dogs. Typical trait of his breed - MALIBU is very protective of his food !!! Never feed him with another dog and never let him in the kitchen or dining room etc where food is around ! More details - on request / over a call.
MALIBU is an active and happy dog. Most of all - he loves human affection ! Due to his size and active temperament, he will go to a confident / experienced, adult only Home !
As well as all our dogs, he had a comprehensive (Brucella and 4Dx) set of Blood Tests, before coming to our modest Rehoming Centre ; he’s a very healthy boy !
You can meet MALIBU anytime, in our place - NG14 6NY or we can bring him almost anywhere in the country.

Home-Check (even done online, at times) is mandatory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children to adopt MALIBU.
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be !
We do not encourage breeding and we are actively involved in actions of neutering stray dogs.
Should you adopt him, MALIBU will reside as a PET in your Home and will be well looked-after and loved !
You will also agree to keep in touch with us - so we can help with any issues.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not covering the costs !
We keep in touch with all adopters - more than 400 families, so far. On request, we can obtain & provide very good references from any of them.
We receive a high number of pointless messages or calls and we do not afford wasting time…
Therefore, Please, Please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
