Milo is a 16 month old male cockerpoo. He is one of 2 boys we got from this site when they were 11 months old, but unfortunately we didn’t get to see them in their home environment. Despite having input from dogs trust training and behaviour specialist input it has become clear that both boys are not meant to live together 24/7. Milo is a lovely boy and is not the most difficult out of the two it has been a hard decision to choose, but he is more suited to a home without children (and we have regular children visiting) and somewhere that has the time to spend on him, He can get overwhelmed by all the noise and distractions and stress and this takes him a while to calm down each time they visit which is unfair to him. He reacts by barking and jumping and this can cause people to feel uncomfortable but is just his way of wanting to get involved. He is a very intelligent dog and loves learning tricks and doing puzzles, lick mats and toys with treats hidden in them. He likes games that involve finding treats or engaging with him. He likes his walks and is good on his lead when out during the day, but is a little more hesitant at night. He isn’t so good off the lead as his recall needs improvement! He loses concentration easily and gets distracted by lots of other things but loves his pig’s ears, cows ears, big tough chews to occupy him. (don’t last long enough!) He is crate trained and sleeps happily at night, and is toilet trained too. He enjoys his tea of an evening with his kibble mixed with some fresh food, either liver, tuna, chicken, veg, sardines he’s happy. He likes his toys and will play around with you, enjoying fetch and tug of war. He loves a good belly rub and even likes lying in strange positions to be held! He is currently undergoing X-rays to check if he has any problems with his back leg and is on some medication at the moment. This is to see if it will help with any behaviour between the boys, and is being monitored. Milo just needs to find his forever home.
