Seb is 5 years old.
We are devastated to have to re-home him but his behaviour has deteriorated since we’ve had two babies. Although he is still affectionate, loving and great being off lead etc. he has issues with food, so the vet has advised we find him a new home without young children, as the messy food times and constant snacks are a trigger for him, where he can easily grab their food. When it was just me and my husband, we would tell him no and although he would stare, he would never try to grab our food, unless it was unattended. We simply put him in a separate room at mealtimes.
He would be best suited to a family with older, mature children who will help provide a calm, quiet environment, or just adults who will do the same.
He loves going on walks and is a fantastic lapdog. He enjoys playing with his toys and we are devastated to have to let him go.
He responds well to training in a calm environment which we currently do not have.
We don’t know what he is like with cats but doesn’t chase them when he sees them on walks. He currently lives with two other small dogs who he loves cuddling into, but when it comes to food time has to be separated from them. So perhaps he would be suited to a home no dogs.
