🔬 The Dad
Our stud is a cream long-haired miniature Dachshund, weighing just 5kg. Cream is one of the rarest and most sought-after colours — especially when paired with long hair. His genetics, and his gentle nature shines through in the pups 💛
🐾 The Mum
Our lovely girl is an Isabella dapple weighing 6kg, another rare dilute gene carrier, which is why the litter includes chocolate-based dapple, pied, sable and cream-based combinations. She’s also a visual dapple — which means if you’re a breeder, understanding this in pairing is key (we’re happy to help guide on that!).
🧬 What this means for DNA
All pups are chocolate-based, which means their noses are brown instead of black — an instant visual cue of recessive dilute traits. If you’re into genetics, think: ee/ee, bb/bb, Dd, possibly carries cream, dilute, or piebald — an ideal foundation for ethical, colour-focused breeding.
