Last week, Mary, another rescuer, was alerted to a litter of five puppies who had been abandoned in a crater in the middle of a field near Comlosu Mare. The pups were quite scared and were disappearing into a small cave and unable to be caught, but food was left for them.
The following day, a trap was set up with food. The day after, Mary found the trap unarmed with the door on top of the trap, indicating that a pup had been caught but someone had removed the pup to take home. Unfortunately the body of another pup was found close by which had signs of being eaten, probably by a fox.
Eventually, Mary was able to trap the three remaining pups and they are now safe at the clinic. All three are boys and they are approx two months old.
Bracken is one of the pups and will be ready to travel to his new home in June once he is fully vaccinated and old enough to travel.
He is a lovely pup and is now being socialised and cared for by the team at the clinic and will be starting his vaccination programme shortly after being flea and worm treated.

ADOPTION CRITERIA - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
❇️ Minimum age for adopters is 25
❇️ A successful home check is required
❇️ The adoption donation is £450
❇️ We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
❇️ Children above the age of 6 years old
❇️ A fully secure garden with at least 5’ fences/boundaries is required
❇️ If working, no more than 3 hours absence at any one time as Bracken is a young pup.
