Description
Olive is a fully KC-registered and health-tested beautiful chocolate dapple miniature Dachshund, perfectly embodying the breed's characteristics. She recently celebrated her 4th birthday and has been a cherished member of our family home, living harmoniously with children and other kennel dogs since she was a pup. We introduce all of our dogs into our family life from a young age, which allows us to have an in-depth understanding of Olive’s complete history, character, and temperament. Olive is a wonderful girl who adapts seamlessly to the presence of children and life in a family home.
Olive is a delightful, curious, and typical dachshund full of energy and personality. She is obedient and responds well to all basic commands such as in/out. Olive is exceptionally loving; she adores cuddles and affection and is very motivated by treats. She will thrive on simple yet essential basics like lots of fuss, cuddles, and attention. In return, she will offer all of her unwavering love to you and your family.
We are seeking:
Someone who understands the miniature Dachshund breed, preferably with prior experience owning a dog. Unfortunately, we will not consider new owners, as we believe experience is essential for Olive's well-being.
Someone who can offer Olive a loving family home. We will require an address and a picture to ensure a suitable environment. If you're unwilling to share these details, please do not enquire.
Someone who has the time and ability to care for Olive, ideally someone who is mostly at home or works from home. This ensures Olive receives the attention and care she deserves.
Olive has been raised in a small family pack and would probably suit a home with another dog. Because of our rotations, Olive has spent time on her own, such as during her season or whelp. Therefore, she could also suit an independent life. This would be subject to a trial to help Olive adapt to a new dog and home.
Olive has enjoyed the comforts of being in the house and in our small outdoor kennel, so any potential new owner must understand that there will be a period of adjustment, as is the case with any new dog, home, or change of ownership. We are not seeking a quick win; we are looking for a forever home.
We require any potential new owner to engage in video calls and visit us before we discuss Olive leaving with you. This process helps us ensure, to the best of our ability, that we are finding a suitable home for Olive.
We have made the difficult personal decision to re-home Olive, and we want to clarify that this is not due to any fault of Olive's whatsoever. She is well-behaved, doesn’t bark needlessly, and is in great health, among other wonderful qualities. However, as our young family has grown, our circumstances have changed. We are happy to explain in more detail if requested, but essentially, my children have grown up, and I am planning to return to full-time employment
