Morris is a gorgeous and loving GSD mixed breed neutered male who arrived in the UK from Romania in July 2024. He weighs approximately 35kg.
Morris is a quick learner who craves mental stimulation and a chance to explore the outdoors. Afyer a walk he likes to chill. He thrives on routine. At home, Morris is fantastic. He can be left alone for several hours and when you return, he's there to greet you with a 'woof woof' and a waggy tail, ready to snuggle in for some love. He gets along with other dogs of all sizes and has adapted well to life indoors, although he does dislike things coming through the letterbox. This has been easily resolved with a little creativity.
Morris does have a high prey drive, particularly towards squirrels and cats, and he is strong on the lead. Off lead his recall can be good, but is inconsistent, especially if he spots something to chase. He requires an experienced hand to guide him and help him channel his energy positively. He can be a bit hesitant about getting into the car boot, but with ongoing positive training, he is making strides.
We are seeking adopters who have experience and understanding of larger working breeds, and who have the time and patience to offer a consistent, enriched training regime.
Due to unforeseen personal circumstances his adopters could no longer keep him and so he has been moved to kennels.
