Description

This female-female duo are both 3.5 years old, with only two weeks between them. THEY COME TOGETHER AS A PAIR! They are our beloved family dogs who grew up together since they were pups. We are looking for a new home for them due to health issues preventing us from giving them the energy and attention they deserve. Looking for an ACTIVE home with a lot of time outside in nature. Kami (Border Collie) is an excellent runner and would make a good working dog. She is registered with the International Sheep dog Society (ISDS) and comes from a farm in Wales. She has a very strong and natural INSTINCT FOR HERDING. She is anxious about loud noises like fireworks and thunder- it is best that she is not home alone during those times. Whilst recall is good for both dogs and they love roaming around, Kami could do with some more training with this as she can run off if she sees a wild animal sometimes. She is an excellent runner and would make a good working dog. Nola is not Kennel Club registered. She is a very affectionate lab, a great retriever, swimmer, and of course a food lover (they are both used to high quality food, including wet food, vegetables, and scraps from the butchers). She is very friendly, but also protective at her own property and not blindly trusting of strangers straight away. They are both extremely loving and joyful family members. They are looking for a loving and ACTIVE household in return! They both love to run around free chasing the ball (they're both great fetchers who always return the ball). They NEED to be outside in nature often and for long periods of time, they are not city dogs or simply house pets, but energetic, lively animals who need a lot of stimulation (particularly the Collie). They are both leash trained, know all the basic commands like 'sit' and 'paw', as well as 'stay' and 'bark' (they come from a Polish-English household so most of the commands they know in two languages!). They are both friendly and love to play around with other dogs and people. They are used to staying home-alone for some time, but they do not like this very much and prefer company. They love to cuddle and receive attention. Kami is especially curious and exceptionally intelligent. She loves other animals, constantly learning, and having a close connection to the owner who she can follow instructions from. More info will be provided to anyone interested and to anyone with specific questions :) Both of them have been microchipped and are up to date with their vaccinations. They have no problem cohabiting with other animals (we also have a cat). Also, arrangements are possible where we volunteer to take care of Kami and Nola when new owners are away (e.g. for holiday reasons, etc.)
