Description
Raffi is a much loved 7-year-old Spaniel X Duck tolling retriever. He has lived with children/ cats/ other dogs and is fully used to an active outdoor life with no problems off the lead or with livestock (except horses which he hates but wouldn't chase etc). He's never aggressive with other dogs and comes to heel / whistle. He will bark at some walkers, bike riders/ horses but would never bite or be aggressive. Raffi has lots of energy being a spaniel and requires a good walk every day, he loves swimming, carrying ridiculously big sticks, chasing balls and jumping on hay bales. He's ideally suited to living in the countryside with other dogs/animals, a sedentary life wouldn't suit him. Although he loves to snuggle on the sofa in the evening. Unfortunately, he has a very nasty habit of eating his own poo and any other poo he can find, he will eat as much as he can get hold of which is very challenging to keep under control. Food is his Achilles heel, he loves it and will eat pretty much anything, if he goes into a new house he will search high and low until he finds food. His cute face is easily underestimated but he can be very canny and is an opportunist. Due to a sudden change of circumstances, I can no longer give him the time/attention he needs. Raffi has a huge amount of positives and is very well socialised and travelled. But he is hard work in terms of keeping on top of his diet/eating/bowels etc, so please don't underestimate that. He deserves a lovely home, I hope the right person is out there.
