I’m looking for a new forever home for my two male chinchillas, due to a new housemate being allergic.
They are called Aramis (grumpy one) and Portos (friendly one). They spent the first 7 years at a college zoo being given the best husbandry practices, before being retired to me for the last few years of their life.
Aramis isn’t a huge fan of being picked up but loves to come out on his terms and explore, if you have enough walnuts he will come onto your lap for strokes.
When Portos has gotten to know you he’s very happy for cuddles and is very loving and kind.
They are currently fed meadow hay, science selective chinchilla pellet and natures valley chinchilla mix, with treats 3x a week of a selection of nuts, veg or chew sticks.
